Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join its service engineering and support team in Cedar Rapids, IA, onsite. The role requires coordinating activities with customers, program management, and design engineering, and involves installing avionics equipment at fixed and airborne platforms per engineering specs.

The position requires 5+ years of STEM experience, Python, Linux, and Wireshark skills, as well as travel up to 50–75%.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must hold a current, valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Python programming, Wireshark, and Linux administration.
• Experience in avionics, integration, post-installation testing, and certification activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site maintenance and triage of components; repair, replace, and upgrade as needed.
• Interface with customers and understand complex systems.
• Execute program milestones and manage critical path dependencies.
• Review execution plans with project management and service engineering teams.
