Job summary

Empaco Equipment Corporation in Richfield, Ohio is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage multi-state tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and GAAP financial accounting. This onsite role collaborates with operations and leadership to strengthen internal controls and ERP initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in accounting and 5+ years of GL and financial reporting experience, plus strong Excel and ERP system skills such as Microsoft Dynamics SL, QuickBooks, or ADP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of general ledger and accounting experience, including multi-state tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Strong knowledge of sales/use tax and state compliance requirements.
• Experience with CAT filings, BWC audits, and insurance audits preferred.
• Experience supporting software system transitions or ERP implementations.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics SL, QuickBooks, ADP).
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite five days per week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
