Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support operating companies in Ohio. The role emphasizes project accounting, inter-company transactions, and MS Business Central expertise, with responsibilities spanning daily processing to month-end close.

You will work under the Midwest Manager, ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements, and assist in ERP migration and acquisitions. A strong team orientation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Microsoft Business Central or similar and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and process daily invoices and cash receipts, including any applicable sales tax.
• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee project accounting activities and report on costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Identify and implement process improvements in the accounting function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in the conversion to Microsoft Business Central ERP system.
• Support the integration of newly acquired operating companies.
