Job summary

The Arms Trucking Co. in Ohio seeks a Senior Accountant to join the in-office team. This is a full-time position supporting A/R and A/P, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant journal entries.

You will work closely with dispatch and operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to process improvements within a tight-knit accounting group. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in accounting with 5+ years of experience, plus strong Excel and ERP skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with Windows, ERP systems, and Office 365

Responsibilities

• Assist A/R & A/P staff with investigating and resolving issues
• Cross train to provide coverage for A/R & A/P
• Assist in month/quarter/year end processes including bank reconciliations and journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and process sales tax filings
• Provide guidance to accounting staff
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations on projects
• Provide continuous improvement ideas
