Job summary

Pivotal Solutions is seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Columbus, United States. The role focuses on preparing financial statements, maintaining financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance with GAAP and standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with major accounting software (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP). CPA is a plus and experience with tax filings is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP).
• Solid Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and statements.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.
• Process accounts payable, manage invoices, and handle outgoing bills and invoices.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist with tax return preparation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements and filings.
• Provide assistance during internal or external audits by producing requested documents.
