Job summary

The Access Control & Equipment Assistant (ACE) at Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center is responsible for monitoring access, assisting at the Welcome Desk, and supporting equipment checkout during busy shifts. Excellent communication and customer service are essential.

Training is in-person with mandatory sessions in January 2027; role requires 5–20 hours weekly and on-site work at Bakke Center in Madison.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent member service and promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain knowledge of Rec Well programs and facilities.
• Explain eligibility, membership details, and answer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Monitor member and guest access to the facility.
• Assist at the desk with equipment checkout, towel distribution, and court reservations.
• Support professional etiquette on the phone or in person about facilities, programs and services.
