Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider) on concrete pours and field projects across the Gulf Coast. You will capture on-site data, verify coverage, and begin processing in Artec Studio.

You will deliver meshes, point clouds, deviation maps, and scan-to-CAD outputs, collaborating with the CAD team. Travel to regional hubs and job sites is required; a valid driver's license and the ability to lift and carry equipment

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software and mesh cleanup.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record; travel as assigned.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, and large objects on site and pre-pour areas.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones to ensure completeness.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, and export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD formats.
• Produce deviation color maps, measurement reports, crack maps, and anchor bolt reports against drawings.
