Construction Material Testing seeks a trained 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider) on diverse field projects, from rebar mats to corroded pipes. You will capture data on site, process it in Artec Studio, and deliver scan-to-CAD files and reports that clients can act on.

You must be comfortable on active construction sites, travel to regional hubs, and have a valid driver's license.

Formación

• Hands-on experience operating handheld 3D scanners on real projects.
• Knowledge of Artec Studio or similar software; mesh cleanup and registration.
• Ability to read CAD drawings (SolidWorks, Fusion, Inventor, Revit).
• Comfortable on active construction sites and able to carry equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, and structures.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlaps.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture.
• Export to STL, OBJ, E57, and CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, crack maps, and anchor bolt reports.
• Create scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering.
• Document capture procedure and chain of custody on forensic matters.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with site contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
