Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld Artec scanners for concrete, piping, and structural components across the Gulf Coast region. You will capture data on site, validate results, and deliver meshes and CAD-ready files.

Applicants should have hands-on scanner experience and familiarity with Artec Studio, plus the ability to read CAD drawings and work on active job sites. Travel to regional hubs is required; the role is hourly with overtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable software.
• Familiarity with reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of structures and components.
• Control drift and verify capture completeness on site.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export CAD-ready files.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
