Job summary

SDSU Global Campus seeks a Student Success Advisor to provide comprehensive academic advising and personalized success planning for online program students. You will manage an assigned caseload, monitor progress, and coordinate with campus resources to promote retention and timely graduation.

In collaboration with the Director of the Student Success Center, you will develop individualized road maps, maintain FERPA-compliant records, and oversee a Canvas Homeroom for your caseload, ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience in counseling or advising students in higher education.
• Ability to handle confidential information and FERPA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Student Advising: Manage caseload with onboarding and progress monitoring.
• Student Advocacy: Refer students and assist with probation, program changes, or delayed progress.
• Success Planning: Develop individualized road maps for persistence and graduation.
• Student Engagement: Manage Canvas Homeroom and foster engagement.
• Program Coordination: Develop and implement workshops and resources.
• Assessment and Data: Track outreach and evaluate outcomes.
• Campus Partnerships: Build relationships with campus units and partners.
• Records and Compliance: Maintain FERPA-compliant records.
