Job summary

San Diego State University Global Campus in San Diego seeks a Student Success Advisor to provide comprehensive academic advising for online students and develop personalized success plans. You will manage caseloads, monitor progress, and coordinate campus resources to promote retention and timely graduation.

In collaboration with the Director, you’ll foster inclusion, maintain FERPA-compliant records, and engage students across platforms while contributing to program development and assessment.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in student services or related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding, proactive academic advising, progress monitoring, and outreach.
• Support students facing academic or personal challenges with referrals.
• Develop road maps for student persistence and timely graduation.
• Manage a Canvas Homeroom and coordinate workshops and resources.
• Track data, prepare reports, and assess program outcomes.
• Build partnerships with faculty, staff, and campus units.
