SDSU Global Campus in San Diego seeks a Student Success Advisor to provide comprehensive academic advising and personalized success planning for online programs. Working with an assigned caseload, the advisor proactively engages students, supports onboarding and transition, monitors progress, and promotes recruitment, persistence, retention, and timely graduation.

In consultation with the Director of the Student Success Center, the advisor develops road maps, maintains FERPA-compliant records,

• Knowledge of diverse student needs and cross-cultural considerations.
• Ability to collaborate with campus units on student services.
• Strong interpersonal communication with students.
• Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in sensitive matters.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint for reporting.
• Experience supporting historically underserved student populations.
• Background in counseling or academic advising of students.
• Experience assisting students in crisis situations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an assigned caseload by providing onboarding, proactive advising, progress monitoring and outreach.
• Support students facing academic challenges with referrals and guidance.
• Develop individualized road maps to support persistence and timely graduation.
• Manage a Canvas Homeroom for caseload communications and engagement.
• Assist with workshops, programs and resources addressing student needs.
• Track outreach data, prepare program reports, and evaluate outcomes.
• Build partnerships with faculty and campus units to coordinate resources.
• Maintain FERPA-compliant records of student interactions and interventions.
