Discovery Middle School in Vancouver, WA seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program. This 1.25-hour daily position supports one-on-one bus riders and participates in a nine-month schedule.

The role involves assisting with behavioral management, data collection, and implementing educational programs under supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and either an Associate’s degree/credit requirements or ParaPro score.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED verified.
• Associate’s degree / 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits or ETS ParaPro Assessment result 455+.
• One year of related experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience as part of an educational team preferred.
• Experience working with children with moderate to severe disabilities preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers with implementing and evaluating goals on individual student IEPs.
• Monitor and collect data as directed by the teacher and support staff.
• Provide instructional assistance and small/large group support as needed.
• Assist with data entry, record keeping and filing.
