Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years scheduling experience in a physician’s office or hospital.
• Knowledge of medical terminology may be required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with office software and medical practice management/scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule medical appointments across campus coordinating patients, providers, facility resources, ancillary staff, records, referrals, authorizations, and payers.
• Receive physician orders and schedule/reschedule appointments, tests, and procedures using EMR systems per protocols.
• Provide patients with information, pre/post-test instructions, locations, and directions; answer questions per guidelines.
• Communicate with patients, facilities, providers, and clinical staff to ensure an easy, empathetic patient experience across channels.
