Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler II to join Texas Oncology's Westover Hills clinic in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role supports patient appointment scheduling, referrals, pre-certifications, and financial counseling, working closely with physicians and the care team.

Typical hours are 8:00a-5:00p, Monday through Friday, with limited travel between local clinics for training or coverage. The position emphasizes accuracy, empathy, and efficient front-office operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and tests in a timely, efficient manner.
• Answer and direct incoming calls; serve as liaison between patient and staff.
• Obtain referrals, insurance authorizations, and maintain EMR documentation.
• Collect co-pays and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Coordinate with providers for appointment scheduling and prep work as needed.
• Maintain scheduling templates and provide support for front office tasks.
