Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler II to join the Westover Hills, San Antonio, TX clinic. This full-time role supports scheduling patient appointments and tests, answers calls, and coordinates with physicians and office staff.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with minimal travel between San Antonio clinics for training or support. The position offers opportunities to contribute to patient access and service excellence within a large oncology network.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic coding a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules patient appointments and tests per physician/office guidelines.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorizations and referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles and other payments at time of visit.
• Maintains primary scheduling templates for physician meetings and satellite schedules.
• Arranges for patients to receive financial counseling as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects clinic information.
• Supports front office operations and may cover other front office functions.
