Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• This entry level position requires 0–3 years of medical business office experience.
• Level 2 requires 3–5 years of medical business office experience.
• Level Sr requires minimum five years of medical business office experience.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently schedules new patients, referrals, and returning patients in the computer system per physician/office guidelines.
• Cancels or reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies clinic personnel.
• Meets with patients to schedule future appointments, procedures, or other exams.
• Triage and respond to scheduling calls promptly and accurately using a dedicated program.
• Ensure all authorizations and referrals are obtained and attached to appointments to avoid denials or delays.
• Maintain the primary office scheduling template with physician meetings, satellite schedule, and call coverage.
• Arrange for financial counseling for patients as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with front office policies.
