Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an Oncology Scheduler to handle scheduling across Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Chest Surgery, and IVOP. The role includes answering a multi-line phone system, pre-registering patients in Meditech Expanse and Aria, and coordinating appointments with the office team.

This position supports the FH mission while providing professional service, data entry, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a healthcare office setting; Oncology office experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Outlook; experience with Meditech Expanse and Aria preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; professional telephone communication.
• Ability to manage multiple phone lines and prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answers scheduling related calls and inquiries. Schedules physician visits according to the practice template.
• Maintains exceptional communication with the clinical teams and Office Supervisor to ensure inquiries are handled properly.
• Directs calls, takes messages, and responds using policies and procedures.
• Maintains multiple phone lines and triages calls to the Triage RN when needed.
• Pre-registers patients in Meditech Expanse and Aria EMRs and ensures pre-visit paperwork is sent.
