Job summary

UVA Health seeks an Oncology Enhanced Scheduler to coordinate complex oncology scheduling across infusion, visits, imaging, labs, and supportive care. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care teams to ensure plans align with protocols and available resources.

The role requires advanced knowledge of scheduling workflows and Epic functionality, including InBasket and scheduling queues. You will improve access, maximize capacity, and support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of patient access experience (J2235 O2) preferred.
• HFMA CHAA or CRCR certification within 18 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex oncology treatment plans and scheduling across infusion, visits, imaging, labs, and supportive care.
• Review Epic Beacon Treatment Plans to ensure accurate scheduling per protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize access and resource utilization.
• Independently manage scheduling requests, work queues, referrals, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and appointment data in the EMR.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate issues to leadership.
