Job summary

Highlands Oncology is seeking a New Patient Scheduler to join our busy oncology practice. You will coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, and triage incoming calls to ensure timely, compassionate care.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR are essential to deliver an exceptional patient experience from the first contact. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent is required, with patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent people skills including adaptability, assertiveness, problem solving and teamwork.
• Proficient in use of EMR (electronic medical record).
• Ability to perform basic functions in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and accurately triage new patient referrals.
• Schedule new patient appointments in appropriate timeframe.
• Help answer and triage calls.
• Follow established processes in New Patient department to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain proper documentation of patient progress in EMR.
