Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an Oncology Enhanced Scheduler to coordinate complex oncology scheduling across infusion, visits, imaging, lab and supportive care. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care teams to align plans with clinical protocols and resources.

The role requires strong scheduling workflow knowledge, Epic functionality, and patient-centered coordination to maximize access and throughput within oncology services.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years demonstrated experience in J2235 Patient Access O2.
• License/Certification: CHAA or CRCR within 18 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule complex oncology treatment plans across multiple modalities.
• Review Epic Beacon Treatment Plans (BTPs) to ensure accurate scheduling.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary appointments to optimize access and utilization.
• Maintain accurate demographic, insurance, referral, and appointment information in the EMR.
• Resolve scheduling barriers and advocate for patients.
