Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access/Registration Clerk in Wisconsin. The role handles patient check-in, registration, insurance verification, and collecting balances with accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1 year of customer service or clerical/office experience including answering phones.
• Experience with insurance pre-certification and patient information verification is preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and billing workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, verify information, and collect patient responsibility.
• Complete registration for walk-in patients and update demographics as needed.
• Verify benefits, communicate payment expectations, and coordinate financial resources.
• Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and EPIC work queues per department workflow.
• Maintain excellent patient relations and support process improvement discussions.
