Advocate Health is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg unit at IU Tower 4 in Libertyville, IL. The role involves assisting RNs with daily patient care, routine measurements, and EMR documentation on day shifts (0630–1900). Must work Sunday-Thursday with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (AHA) within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per state registry.
• GED or high school equivalency diploma or high school graduate.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication required.
• Annual certifications/update requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility.
• Measure and document BP, temp, pulse, respiration, intake/output, weights.
• Document in EMR accurately.
• Perform patient rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer, discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect samples and perform point-of-care tests as directed.
• Handle duties like chart delivery, stock management, and equipment cleaning.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers using proper techniques.
• Maintain skin care, TED hose, and compression devices as required.
• Remove IVs and assist with post-mortem care if needed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and proper PPE use.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care across lifespan.
