Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL, is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care. The role includes 24 hours per week across two 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays.

BLS within 45 days and Nurse Aide in good standing are required; GED/HSED or HS diploma is required. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, vital signs, and documentation in EMR, plus Aide duties in admissions, discharge, and patient transfers.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma (GED/HSED or HS) required.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry where you practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, intake and output, and daily weights; document in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding under RN direction and communicate observations to RN.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge processes including room setup and patient belongings management.
• Ensure patient call light is within reach and respond promptly; collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintain stock for nursing area, clean equipment, and assist with transporting patients and maintaining skin integrity.
