Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide for a full-time night shift in Libertyville, IL. You will assist RNs with daily patient care, monitor vital signs, document data in the EMR, and participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and routine rounding under supervision.

Strong communication, organizational skills, and basic computer literacy are required. Certification maintenance and BLS completion within 45 days are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Maintain annual hospital-based certifications (DNV, CARF or others).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, ambulation.
• Measure and document vital signs and inputs/outputs in EMR with accuracy.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision, set up room and manage belongings.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated; maintain competency.
