Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Wheeling Township, IL is seeking a 36-hour-per-week Nursing Assistant for Med Surg IU Tower 4. This full-time dayshift role involves three 12-hour shifts (6:30 am–7:00 pm) with rotating holidays; must be ready to work Sunday through Thursday.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily patient care, measuring vital signs, documenting in EMR, and supporting the RN through admissions, transfers, discharges, and routine tasks.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with state registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output.
• Document in EMR accurately.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge under RN supervision.
• Ensure patient call light within reach and respond promptly.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Maintain nursing area stock and clean equipment.
• Assist with feeding and positioning; skin care.
• Follow infection prevention policies and PPE.
