Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on a 3‑shift weekend schedule. You will assist with daily activities, document care in the EMR, and help with admissions, discharges, and specimen collection. Emphasis on safety, hygiene, and patient comfort throughout.

Qualifications include a GED or HS diploma and BLS/State Nurse Aide certification. The role offers full‑time hours with rotating holidays and benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and comfort with EMR documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and collaborate with RN.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs in EMR accurately.
• Conduct purposeful rounding and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge activities and setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point‑of‑care tests per protocol.
• Stock nursing area, transport supplies, and maintain clean work spaces.
• Assist with patient positioning and mobility, monitor skin integrity.
• Follow infection prevention policies and PPE guidelines.
• Provide age-appropriate care and report abnormal findings to RN.
