Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The RN will deliver care across oncology units, including trauma and neurology, while maintaining Magnet-level nursing excellence and teamwork.

Nurses in the float pool provide flexible, high-quality care and must hold an active New Jersey RN license with BLS and ACLS. Shift is night, 36 hours per week, with weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma is required.
• BSN preferred within 5 years of hire.
• 2–3 years of Medical Surgical/Oncology experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification; NJ RN license active.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based practice principles.
• Identify safety issues and report hazards and errors.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to team members in collaboration with care providers.
• Set priorities and evaluate outcomes to improve patient care.
