Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. This role supports diverse units, delivering compassionate care across trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology, within a Magnet-designated system.

The RN provides expert nursing care, adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• 2+ years of Oncology experience
• BSN preferred within 5 years of hire
• Oncology certification preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and medical errors.
• Understand the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation to team members; collaborate with care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes; manage the plan of care.
