Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver and manage direct patient care in a centralized ambulatory oncology setting. The role requires current Massachusetts nursing licensure and oncology experience, with chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.

We offer day shifts (Mon-Fri, 7:00–12:00) and a potential signing bonus; final offer based on experience, skills and internal equity. Commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification required.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications.
• Minimum 1 year Oncology experience within the last three years.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing is noted as applicable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• In addition to certification and competencies, unit specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment according to standard procedure.
• Provides care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiates and implements nursing interventions as directed.
• Evaluates patient progress as indicated or required.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
