Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Oncology, per diem, on-site in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on planning, delivery and management of direct patient care using the nursing process in an ambulatory clinic.

The RN will perform assessments, deliver chemo-related care, document care, and monitor patient progress while adhering to nursing standards. BSN preferred; ONS/ONCC certifications advantageous.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology related experience within the last three years.
• Chemotherapy-related experience within the last three years.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• BLS is required for every RN (ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document care according to standard procedures.
• Provide care using the nursing process in ambulatory oncology.
• Initiate and evaluate nursing interventions as directed.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Maintain and adhere to unit competencies and standards.
