Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an Oncology RN for day shift coverage. The role involves patient assessment, administering chemotherapy, and delivering care per nursing process. Monday–Friday scheduling incl. early hours supports coordinated cancer care.

Required MA nursing license, ONCC chemo immunotherapy cert, and BLS; 1+ year oncology and med/surgical experience are favored. A signing bonus may be offered; compensation aligns with experience.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure is required.
• ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification required.
• BLS certification required for every RN (ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit).
• Minimum 1 year of oncology experience in the last three years.
• Chemotherapy-related experience within the last three years.
• At least 1 year of Med/Surgical nursing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• BSN preferred if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment according to standard procedures.
• Delivers care using the nursing process.
• Initiates and implements nursing interventions as directed.
• Evaluates patient progress as required.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
