Job summary

Connecteam is seeking an Onboarding Manager to guide new customers from partnership handoff through successful payroll launch. The role blends project management, system configuration, payroll-process understanding, customer training and strong cross-functional coordination.

As a payroll-first implementation lead, you will work with customers, partner Implementations Managers, and internal teams to ensure data, time tracking, PTO, payroll rules, and integrations are configured correctly and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in implementation, onboarding, customer facing SaaS role with SMB & Mid Market client sizes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple customer implementations and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn software, troubleshoot issues, and understand integrations and data flows.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach when managing complex implementations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, internal teams, and external partners in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and changing customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer onboarding process from internal handoff through go-live and initial payroll stabilization.
• Lead kickoff, setup, training and client's payroll onboarding.
• Maintain clear timelines, responsibilities, next steps, risks and customer communication throughout each project.
• Coordinate across customers, partner, Sales, Support, Product, Integrations and leadership.
• Investigate issues across the full workflow and escalate payroll-impacting risks with clear documentation.
