Job summary

Palacios-Marine- is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, from offer to orientation. The role ensures pre-employment requirements, documentation, background checks, and eligibility are completed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate will coordinate with recruiters, hiring managers, and field teams, maintain records in HR systems, and deliver a positive onboarding experience while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with HRIS, onboarding systems, or applicant tracking systems.
• Knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify processes preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding activities from offer acceptance through orientation.
• Process and track background checks, drug screens, and employment verifications.
• Complete I-9 and E-Verify requirements.
• Ensure onboarding documents are accurate and completed on time.
• Communicate with new hires, recruiters, hiring managers, and field teams.
• Track onboarding progress and resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain employee records and data within HR systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive onboarding experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Support outage and project staffing efforts as needed.
• Assist with administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects.
