Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to shape the new hire experience from offer to Day 1. You will manage the onboarding lifecycle, coordinate pre-employment checks, and serve as the primary contact for new hires and managers, ensuring accurate HRIS records and a smooth start.

You will collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Occupational Health, and leadership while supporting reporting and continuous onboarding improvements to drive a positive onboarding journey.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of recent experience in a high-volume scheduling administrative position or similar HR onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding lifecycle from offer acceptance through Day 1 readiness.
• Coordinate and track pre-employment requirements (I-9, background checks, health screenings, licensure).
• Serve as primary contact for new hires, hiring managers, and internal teams.
• Ensure timely completion of onboarding documents and HRIS records.
• Monitor onboarding progress and resolve barriers for a smooth start.
• Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Occupational Health and leadership.
• Support reporting, process improvements, and onboarding best practices.
