Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Professional Services Specialist to serve as the on-site technical expert for a strategic enterprise account in the Detroit area. You will ensure continuous operation, maintenance, and upgrades of the client's VS&A infrastructure, demonstrating advanced troubleshooting and a strong customer focus.

You will lead on-site installations and large-scale upgrades, coordinate with internal teams, and develop strong relationships with client IT staff and security

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Video Management System (VMS) and Access Control (ACM) environment.
• 5+ years in an IT environment.
• Strong knowledge in networking and system design.
• Experience in large-scale, multi-site, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience with physical security VMS, DVR, NVR, cameras, encoders, PoE, and access control systems.
• Experience deploying a VMS and cameras from the ground up.
• Understanding of network and PoE requirements for physical security.
• Knowledge and recent experience with programming and APIs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of Avigilon Unity Video and Access Control environments.
• Lead planning and execution of large-scale system upgrades across the client sites.
• Provide technical expertise for all video and access control components.
• Conduct site audits, system certifications, and acceptance test plans.
• Support annual preventative maintenance, tracking SLA compliance and response timelines.
• Produce PM reports with tested systems, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
