Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead designated day parts, manage kitchen staff, and ensure allergen safety at a fast-paced summer camp.

This on-site, live-in role requires strong leadership, scratch cooking expertise, and a willingness to thrive in a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week with seasonal duties May–Sept. Competitive pay, bonus, room & board, and travel support are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, and ability to navigate iPad and kitchen tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee scratch cooking, portion control, menu specs, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance for Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.; maintain sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Act as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
