Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp operations. You will oversee all prep and production for the designated day part, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires a willingness to work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week, with competitive seasonal pay, a performance bonus opportunity, and full room and board

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, culinary skills, and comfort with using an iPad for orders and reporting.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot/cold kitchen environments.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic camp setting and fulfill a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to maintain high-energy, positive operations.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part with strict portion control.
• Manage allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting and budget tracking.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen staff, campers, and camp leadership.
