Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our busy summer camp kitchens. This on-site, live-in position oversees prep and production for a designated day part, manages staff, and ensures allergen safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will live on-site in rustic settings, work six days a week totaling about 70 hours, and receive competitive seasonal pay plus a performance bonus, room and board, and travel allowance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, ability to manage staff, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic camp setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to maintain high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, and execution of scratch cooking for designated day part.
• Ensure allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and health sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
