Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Stockton, CA. You will greet drivers, process Bills of Lading, and manage dock assignments to ensure smooth inbound/outbound shipments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant shipping/receiving experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign drivers in and out, verifying paperwork.
• Assign dock doors to inbound and outbound loads, coordinating with yard spotters and warehouse teams.
• Process Bills of Lading and all related shipping and receiving documentation.
• Maintain real-time door and yard reports for trailer inventory.
• Maintain inbound and outbound shipment schedules using warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate yard movements and dock assignments to optimize operational flow.
• Communicate shipment issues promptly to management, drivers, and warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
