Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to act as the main contact for drivers at the Welcome Center or Shipping and Receiving Office. The role verifies and processes shipments, maintains schedules, and ensures accurate shipping documentation, while supporting logistics operations and ensuring inventory integrity.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of relevant experience, proficiency with MS Office, and strong attention to detail. The role is on-site with a shift starting 7:30am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in shipping/receiving or similar role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign drivers in/out; verify paperwork.
• Assign dock doors and coordinate with yard/warehouse teams.
• Process Bills of Lading and shipping docs; maintain records.
• Maintain real-time door and yard reports.
• Update shipment schedules and coordinate with yard jockeys.
• Provide responsive customer service and communicate issues to leadership.
