Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to join our growing MRO team. You will work on turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and perform riveting, drilling and fastening tasks to support airframe maintenance.

This role requires basic to advanced knowledge of sheet metal, ability to work from drawings, and adherence to FAA guidelines. A high school diploma and an A&P license are preferred, with a driver’s license and reliability essential for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred.
• Airframe & Powerplant license preferred and advantageous.
• Experience with sheet metal and turbine aircraft structures desired.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting and cutting.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Navigate electronic manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English and follow safety rules.
