Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a customer-focused Route Sales/Service Associate to service multiple customer locations in Massachusetts. You will receive and stock products, manage inventory, and use routing software to follow defined routes while promoting Grainger's MRO solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in selling or service environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 25 to 60lbs and/or work in difficult positions
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle different technical and operational issues
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license in State of residence
• Must carry required levels of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations
• Ensure product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty
• Follow designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is being provided
• Help create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs
• Probe for customer needs during each site visit and work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings
• Manage customer inventory and provide outstanding customer service through the KeepStock program
• Work with partners to implement sales strategy and help customers understand Grainger's MRO solutions
