Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Field Service professional to service customer locations and manage inventory while promoting Grainger's MRO solutions. You will coordinate stocking, engage with customers to identify needs, and support sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.

The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service, collaborating with teams, and ensuring safety compliance across site visits. Candidates must be able to lift 25–60 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in selling or service environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 to 60lbs and/or work in difficult positions.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle different technical and operational issues.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license in State of residence.
• Must carry required levels of automobile insurance.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, between 7am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations.
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations.
• Ensure product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
• Follow the designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time.
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where service is provided.
• Help create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs.
• Probe for customer needs during each site visit.
• Work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.
• Support assigned customers by managing inventory and providing outstanding customer service.
• Drive account growth through customers' inventory management (KeepStock) program.
• Work with partners to implement sales strategy and help customers understand Grainger's MRO solutions.
