Job summary

Denali Universal Services seeks a Security Sergeant to oversee security services at the ConocoPhillips World Headquarters site in Houston, TX. This working supervisor role includes directing officers, coordinating shifts, and coordinating incident reporting on a rotational schedule.

The position requires a high school diploma, security licensure, and strong leadership, communication, and incident management skills. A background check and post-offer physical are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in military, law enforcement, corrections, or private security.
• Valid driver's license.
• State Unarmed Security Officer License as required by state/local laws.
• Maturity of judgement and behavior.
• Ability to lead with professionalism, respect and integrity.
• Ability to teach and train others.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong decision making and incident/event management skills.
• Able to complete background checks, drug screen, and post-offer fitness evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security operations for the assigned shift.
• Oversee and enforce security procedures and officer performance.
• Act as shift supervisor and manage staff on duty.
• Schedule personnel and adjust staffing to meet needs.
• Train officers on duties and responsibilities and ensure compliance.
• Inspect and evaluate officers and daily activities.
• Ensure officers are fit for duty and properly equipped.
• Conduct investigations of incidents, unwanted visitors, alarms.
• Ensure all paperwork (incident reports) is completed timely.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, uniforms, and gear.
• Provide coaching, feedback and disciplinary actions where needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support client management.
• Promote a professional, respectful workplace environment.
• Be available for back up support as needed.
• Understand and follow post orders and client requirements.
