Job summary

Denali Universal Services is seeking a Security Sergeant to oversee security operations at the Big Spring site. The role supervises assigned personnel, enforces post orders, and ensures safety of people and assets at the job site.

As a working supervisor, the Sergeant will perform security duties while directing team members, coordinate shifts, and respond to emergencies in line with the contract scope of work and client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in law enforcement, military police, corrections, or private security with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Ability to lead with professionalism, respect and integrity at all times.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong decision making and incident/event management skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
• State Unarmed Security Officer License; licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Must be able to complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection of work site(s), personnel and assets from events such as assault, theft, vandalism, harassment and other incidents.
• Oversee and coordinate security services for the assigned shift.
• Supervise and direct a team of security officers, including onboarding, training, coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate schedules, staffing assignments, and post coverage to maintain operational readiness.
• Ensure proper use, care, and accountability of uniforms, gear, equipment and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies per site procedures and assist with investigations as required.
• Maintain and submit timesheets, daily security logs, and incident reports in a timely manner.
