Job summary

Carvana is seeking an on-site Safety Associate in Charlotte to protect people, vehicles, and gate operations. You will monitor security, perform audits, and respond to incidents with calm judgment.

The role requires 1–2 years in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work across teams. It’s a full-time, hourly position with extensive on-site responsibilities and safety training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make solid decisions in a fast-moving setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Use the Safe & Secure App (SAS App) and RFID tech to enforce ingress/egress procedures.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts.
• Perform safety audits and escalate hazards before incidents occur.
• Coordinate with Inspection Center and Logistics teams as needed.
• Assist with snow removal, heat-safety protocols, and general site upkeep.
• Maintain documentation on vehicle movement and safety actions.
