Job summary

Carvana is seeking a hands-on Safe & Secure team member to patrol and secure our site, manage gate operations, and support safety initiatives. You will monitor CCTV/RFID systems, conduct safety audits, and respond to incidents while coordinating with Inspection Center and Logistics teams.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, wearing safety equipment and maintaining open communication with leadership. Prioritizing teamwork, reliability, and quick decision-making will be essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment
• Strong verbal and written communication
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction
• Live the Carvana values — and make sure they're felt by everyone you work with
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors
• Communicate clearly, with active listening and signals
• Monitor live cameras and investigate intrusion alerts using the Unified Security Platform
• De-escalate and collaborate with partners during incidents
• Run gate operations using the SAS App and RFID tech, enforcing ingress/egress
• Manage vehicle movement through Inspection Center gates
• Receive first aid, CPR, and AED training and apply when needed
• Know emergency protocols cold and act decisively
• Keep the site operational in all weather; snow removal and heat-safety
• Drive safety culture through audits and training
• Scan thousands of vehicles daily to ensure operations; combine tech and manual scans
• Cover ground walking to reach restricted areas
• Run vehicle location research and deliver reports to leadership
