Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safe & Secure team member to protect associates, customers, and vehicles. You’ll patrol the lot, monitor security systems, and enforce ingress/egress procedures while maintaining a customer‑focused, safety‑first mindset.

This role is a boots‑on‑the‑ground position at our site, requiring strong situational awareness and teamwork. You’ll be trained to handle emergencies, conduct safety audits, and support rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision‑making in a complex, fast‑moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast‑paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts using the Unified Security Platform.
• Manage and document vehicle movement through gate and Inspection Center entrances/exits.
• De‑escalate situations, partner with teams, and reinforce safety best practices.
• Be the on-site face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Walk the lot, perform safety audits, and ensure 24/7 site operation.
