Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safety & Security team member in New Jersey to protect associates, customers, and vehicles across a 24/7 facility. You will patrol the gate, monitor security systems, and perform safety audits while coordinating with Inspection Center and Logistics teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment. Training in first aid and safety protocols is provided.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and listen actively to signals.
• Use the Unified Security Platform to monitor live cameras and investigate intrusion alerts.
• De-escalate situations and work with partners to resolve issues.
• Run point at the gate using the SAS App and RFID tech, enforcing ingress/egress.
• Manage and document vehicle movement through gates and at the Inspection Center.
• Receive training in first aid, CPR, and AED and apply when needed.
• Keep the site operational in all weather and reinforce safety best practices.
• Scan vehicles, perform safety audits, and stay alert to hazards.
